Thoughts and Info on Lalia's Market

With the release of Update 11: Treachery of the White Hand, Bree finds itself with a new shop under the ownership of Lalia the Hobbit. I honestly could not be more excited when I found out that this was to be a shop solely dedicated to cosmetics, ranging from old pvp items to obsolete skirmish rewards. It truly is a collectors paradise and integrates perfectly into the world of Middle-Earth. The items are bought using mithril coins, something I have no problem spending TP on if they allow me to snag some amazing cosmetic pieces that are difficult, or otherwise impossible for me to find in the world itself. However, if you own expansions like Isengard, it should probably be noted that a lot of the items in the shop can easily be obtained through quests, mob drops, or even crafted and bought at the Auction House.

Mannequin sets (pictured above) are 50 mithril coins each, chest pieces are 25,
helms/hats/shoulder pieces are 20, gloves/boots/leggings are 15,  and cloaks are 25 or 100. Please note that these prices are subject to change however Turbine sees fit.

Items like that heavy armor chest-piece on the right can be crafted and easily found at the Auction House. Always check the Auction House to make sure you can get the item for gold, so you can instead use those mithril coins for an item that is harder or impossible to get outside the market.

Some of these mannequins feature outfits put together by Hymne of Cosmetic Lotro!

All in all, I think this is a fantastic service brought to Lotro. The items Lalia sells are account bound, so I can pass them between toons via the Shared Wardrobe system - a very convenient feature for cosmetic collectors like myself. No doubt Lalia and I will become very good friends, as I plan to visit her shop often. I hope she rotates her stock frequently, and maybe even bring some new items to the game. Happy shopping!

  2. Do you know if there is any way to craft or loot that cloak with the white tree of Gondor on it? (third screenshot, bottom right hand corner)

    1. That cloak's name outside the shop is "Burglar's Cover." It was a drop from Dorozg the Beast Tamer in the Grand Stair for lvl58+ characters. Thank you for visiting The Elven Tailor :)
